Individual Counselling
What to Expect
Individual counselling provides an opportunity for you to receive personal support and guidance during testing times in life, facilitated in a safe, confidential and caring environment.
During this process I will assist you to explore and deal with any difficult feelings, thoughts and behaviours you may have, whilst addressing any challenging or influential memories from your past.
Individual therapy will aid you to better understand yourself and others, address and work through any substance abuse, depression, anxiety or any other life difficulties, and then work towards your desired change.
We may work together for as few as two or three sessions or as long as several months, depending on your unique needs and personal goals for therapy.

The Process
Throughout the therapy process, I work with different psychotherapy modalities, which are mainly based on attachment theory.
Attachment theory is a way of describing how we learnt to relate to people as young, dependent infants and children. The style of attachment that was developed between infant and parent/caregiver, has a huge impact of how a grown adult relates to people and interacts in relationships with others and themselves.
Using attachment-based psychotherapy, I aim to create a healing and warm environment in which I can assist you on your journey to both personal wellness and affectionate relationships.
I work to support you to find freedom from the habits of your childhood belief systems which might no longer be serving you, and to an authentic life where you can ask for your needs to be met and your heart to be peaceful.
